Bandai Super Robot Chogokin SRC Shin Mazinger Z Review
Hello everyone, here's Charles for another chogokin review. This time it's for Super Robot Chogokin SRC Shin Mazinger Z! Bandai loves to release Mazinger Z toys and it's no surprise that we have Shin Mazinger Z as part of the Mazinger Z 40th anniversary campaign.
First up, let's take a look at Shin Mazinger Z's trademark pose. Here, I have swapped Shin Mazinger Z's original red chest plates with the transparent ones, simulating Shin Mazinger Z preparing to fire....
BREAST FIRE~~~~~~!!!!
There is an effect part that you can add to the chest plates to simulate the firing of Shin Mazinger Z'z breast fire. A very nice touch to the figure I must say.
Apart from the standard open fists and clenched fists for holding swords, Shin Mazinger Z comes with a special left fist that grips the head of the robot monster. This is a great accessory that can be used as a diorama piece.
Shin Mazinger Z's articulation is an improvement from the first SRC Mazinger Z. Joints are tighter and you can stretch the limbs even further than before, bringing articulation to the next level. And what better to showcase this, than to present to you another trademark pose of the ROCKET PUNCH!
On a side note, the accessories of the weapons set 1 can be added to Shin Mazinger Z, so you can have the Jet Scrandler added to his back, as well as the rocket punch effect parts.
Now comes the "devil" wings for Shin Mazinger Z. The wings make Shin Mazinger Z look really great and are in better proportions than the GX-49 version, definitely because it is made with show accuracy in mind while the latter is made more for the transforming feature.
Despite the fact that the wings cannot be transformed into the giant rocket punch, the 3 "arms" on the back are articulated and you can move them around.
While the wings can fold at the centre, it cannot fold all the way in to cover Shin Mazinger Z. The folding feature here is meant more for creating variations in poses rather than transformation.
It is great that the wings can pose really well as it really gives Shin Mazinger Z a different feel from its GX-49 counterpart. And somehow, this pose really reminds me of Shin Getter 1.
Shin Mazinger Z is a great addition to the SRC series and I highly recommend him.

Bandai Super Robot Chogokin SRC Bigvolvogg Review
Hi everyone, today I am reviewing Bigvolvogg. Bigvolvogg is the 3rd character from the King of Braves GaoGaiGar series to be released and is also one of the key characters in the show.
Bigvolvogg is a combination of Volvogg, which transforms from a police car to a robot, and 2 drone robots transdformed from a motorcycle and a helicopter.
SRC Bigvolvogg is only a posable figure and not a transformable one. The beauty of this figure is that it is very screen accurate in terms of its proportions and it really represents well the slim look of Bigvolvogg in the anime.
Bigvolvogg is one of the smaller SRCs, being the same size as Choryujin. However, I must emphasize that he is of a decent size and it is good that his size is smaller than GaoGaiGar to give an accurate comparison of the figures in the anime.
Bigvolvogg is extremely posable with lots of points of articulation in his limbs and body. He can do the kneeing pose with ease and can do most of his trademark poses in the anime, such as the arms folding pose. How many robot figures out there can actually do this?
Bigvolvogg comes with 3 extra pairs of hands for different poses and I especially love the pair that allows me to do the police salute pose.
In terms of weapons, they are already mounted on Bigvolvogg; The 4000 Magnum machine guns on the left arm and the blades on the right arm. The blades come with a spinning effect part that you can replace to represent scenes where Bigvolvogg spins them as a shield or a cutting weapon.
It also comes with the effect parts to represent the firing action of the 4000 Magnum.
And the final weapon it comes with is the claw that Bigvolvogg uses in the anime most of the time to grab enemies or to hook on things. The extension rod is made of bendable metal and you can shape it at will to create the look that you like.

Bandai Tamashii Web Limited Super Robot Chogokin SRC Kokubouger Review
Hello everyone, here's my review for the Bandai Tamashii Web Limited Super Robot Chogokin SRC Kokubouger. Kokubouger is not a mass release item and can only be bought from Bandai's Tamashii Web shop in Japan. It is only limited to domestic Japanese customers. Outside of Japan, Hong Kong is the only country where it can be pre-ordered.
Kokubouger has an impressive army green gloss finishing that makes it really look and feel like it is made for guerilla warfare. The overall finishing has a touch of gloss and that makes the green less dull.
One might feel that Kokubouger is largely a recolor of Daiguard. However, this is not the case. A lot of retooling and remoulding has been done to create Kokubouger, such as the head, shoulder pads, front chest plate, lower arm attachments, front lower waist and leg guards.
Kokubouger does not come with as many weapons or accessories as Daiguard but it does have all the weapons that it has used in the anime, if my memory serves me right. One of the weapons unique to Kokubouger is the double arm missle pods.
Another weapon is the drill, which can be used for Daiguard to simulate a double drill arm attack.
And of course, there is Kokubouger's ultimate weapon, which is the knot buster.

Kokubouger does not come with as many weapons or accessories as Daiguard but it does have all the weapons that it has used in the anime, if my memory serves me right. One of the weapons unique to Kokubouger is the double arm missle pods.

An effect part is also included to show the knot buster after it has discharged itself into the enemy.
Kokubouger is a great addition to have. Apart from being a fairly newly retooled figure, it has the same hefty amount of diecast as Daiguard. Like most Bandai web limited items, Kokubouger is likely to be a one time release.
